About Youth Lead AV
Youth Lead AV coalition empowers youth ages 12-26 to become leaders in the community. This is a prevention based coalition, where youth use their voice to educate on issues important to them and fight the stigma associated with substance use and the stigma that youth are not involved in their communities.

We meet twice a month on Thursday in our office and online via Zoom from 4:30PM to 6:00PM.

What is Youth Lead AV?
The program is meant to provide mentoring and coaching, as well as skill, knowledge and leadership building to a diverse community among the Antelope Valley by impacting the war on drugs in regards to substance use disorders to influence policy for their community through a coalition in which they will decide which policies and substances are affecting the most in the AV. In addition this program is meant to motivate active learning and participation in policy creation. Moreover, this plan of action will establish strong relationships with the community and give great opportunities to volunteer.
